HopeCycle Refashions is the brain-child of Holly Carton, a young artist and jack-of-all-trades with a vision to help those entrapped in the horrific slavery known as Sex Trafficking.

Holly was horrified and disturbed to learn at the time of the Super Bowl in 2012 that while the Super Bowl is a fun time for us, it is the largest magnet in the US for sex trafficking. This dark realization lead to more research, which lead to a burning desire to DO SOMETHING.

Armed with a sewing machine, a wood-burning tool, and the reckless willingness to cut up pretty prom dresses, Holly began to put together what would become HopeCycle Refashions.

HopeCycle Refashions can be found on Facebook and Etsy. It is a store where donated dress (and other items) are refashioned and given new life.

HopeCycle is completely non-profit; all profits from sales at the Etsy store are donated directly to the Polaris Project. Holly is also looking for a local (VA Beach area) church or safe house to donate to as well.
